Joshua Waterman is the founder and director of Imperium Project Consulting Limited. Chartered with The Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB), he is an experienced and award winning project leader and managing director. Having graduated with a BSc in Construction Management, he started his career at a project and cost management consultancy managing health, science and education projects. Having delivered several projects ranging between £20-80m, Joshua moved into commercial development projects, holding roles on projects between £100m to £2bn including working on the mixed use landmark mega project Battersea Power Station.
Whilst at Battersea Power Station, Joshua became a central part of the team operating within the senior leadership team, working on Phase Two of the development which was the refurbishment of the existing Grade II* listed power station as well as holding site wide roles across the phased development. After seeing The Power Station through to opening and operation, he has held roles on other commercial development projects including Chelsea Barracks.
Amongst other ventures such as property development and hospitality, Joshua is currently Managing Director of a building safety company who guide clients through the Building Safety Act (2022), submit gateway 2 and 3 applications on behalf of clients and perform the building regulations prinicpal designer role.
Joshua is passionate about the image of the construction industry, process efficiency, construction management procurement and building safety and is regularly involved in thought leadership pieces and events. He currently sits as a member of the CIOB London Hub and in April 2024 was awarded the Construction Manager of the Year Commercial Silver Award for his work at Battersea Power Station.
